MovingMedia, Wayne State University’s annual film festival, is entering its eleventh year as a showcase celebrating independent work and creativity while promoting a productive encounter of diverse visual approaches.

Inclusion in the festival is selective, and will be determined by a panel of qualified judges from our region.  As in past years, there will be a juried competition, with prizes, open to students of Wayne State University and invited guest institutions.

The 2011 festival taking place June 22-26th marks our eleventh year anniversary as well as our second year of partnering with The Detroit Windsor International Film Festival (DWIFF). We are excited about the opportunity to bridge regional institutions, build partnerships and networks reflective of the film industry today. The festival itself offers the best of student filmmakers within our region, while the TECH FEST offers an array of classes, demonstrations and panels encompassing all aspects of movie making.
